Earl Dale Shields Earl Dale, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond, Louisiana. He was born in Oklahoma City , Oklahoma, and traveled to New York City for modeling and show business. That is where he met his soulmate of 51 years, Ray. Earl was a joyous and special man who was loved by all who knew him. He was a collector of old movies and he was an active fundraiser for various organizations in the community, including, but not limited to The Boyd and Girls Club of America. He and Ray also fought and marched for rights in the LGBT Community. Together, they actively made a difference in the future for many members of the LGBT Community. He was a one of a kind gentleman that is already deeply missed. Earl is survived by his adoring husband, Ray Allen Durand, Jr. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Lura Elizabeth Painter and two aunts and uncles.
