Donald’s Obituary Donald J. Aldrich, 90, of Placida, Florida and South Kingstown, Rhode Island, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019. He was the husband of Catherine R. (Catanese) Aldrich for 35 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Irene (Rossi) Aldrich. Mr. Aldrich was a proud Marine serving honorably in the Korean War. As a lifelong music enthusiast and talented musician, he most recently played TAPS with the American Legion Honor Guard in his retirement years. He enjoyed, traveling, cooking, was an avid gardener and dog lover. Besides his wife he is survived by his children David J. Aldrich and his wife Janet of Derry, NH, Martin C. Aldrich and his wife Terry of Narragansett, Ruth M. Bellino and her husband David of South Kingstown, Claire P. O’Rourke and her husband Edward of South Kingstown, Peter M. Aldrich and his wife Trish of Narragansett; and grandfather of ten and great-grandfather to two. He was predeceased by his son Donald J. Aldrich and his brothers Raymond and Edward Aldrich.
