Mrs. Dona Suzanne “Sue” Babb Bamberg, 78, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Curis at Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Saturday at Lady’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Bamberg was born April 23, 1941 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late Cline James Babb and Grace McCarver Babb. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bamberg, Jr. She retired from Swink Manufacturing Company as a weaver. Mrs. Bamberg and her husband owned and operated Jr. and Sue’s Leatherwear in Enochville, where they worked closely with the motorcycle community, of which she and her husband were a part of. They very much enjoyed providing quality leather wear for their community. Mrs. Bamberg is survived by three children, Lisa Jillani and husband A.J. of Mint Hill, Steve Kerley and wife Sabrina of Rockwell and David Kerley of Landis; five grandchildren, Savannah, Madison, Zack, Tiffany and Brittany; and two great grandchildren.
