Dolores Joyce Kruse, 86, of Litchfield, passed away on Fri., Sept. 6, 2019 at 9:15 p.m. in Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care in Litchfield. She was born on July 3, 1933, in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of Benjamin & Belvia (Parrott) Kruse. Dolores graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1951. She was the office manager – bookkeeper at McKay Auto Parts in Litchfield for 40+ years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Dolores enjoyed baseball & softball and was an avid Cardinal’s fan. She played women’s fast pitch softball for several years. She volunteered her time at Litchfield Food Pantry. Dolores loved her family. She was very generous and was always taking care of others. Dolores is survived by: Several nieces & nephews Several great nieces & great nephews Several great-great nieces & great-great nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, infant Benjamin Kruse; John A. Kruse; George Kruse; & James P. “Rusty” Kruse; 2 sisters, Betty Maynard & Charlene Fosnaugh. Graveside services for Dolores will be held on Thurs., Sept. 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Rev. Fred Kraemer of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. No visitation will be held. A funeral procession will line up at 10:45 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home.
