David’s Obituary David E. McCarry died peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2019. David was born April 12, 1932 to Edward and Florence (Gallagher) McCarry in Fort Collins, Colorado. David and Marian Grickshot were united in marriage on June 7, 1958 in Fort Collins. After serving four years in the Army and three years in the Navy, David worked for Columbia Savings for 35 years. He was senior vice president before he retired and helped open Southridge Golf Course. David will be remembered for his love and knowledge of history, and his love for golf and football. He was very proud to have played football at Colorado A&M. David is survived by his daughter, Michelle Bates of Fort Collins and her E.C. Spencer Wilson; his granddaughters Brittny Spencer of San Diego, CA and Taylor Bates of Fort Collins, CO. David was happily reunited with his wife of 59 years in heaven, Marian McCarry. David and Marian will be laid to rest in Fort Logan National Cemetery, in Denver, CO. Read More
