Darrek Thomas England, 54, of Judsonia, died Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Unity Health Hospital in Searcy. He was born April 28, 1965 in Searcy to the late George and Lavonda “Bonnie” England. Darrek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth, but he is healed and no longer severely handicapped. He spent his entire life at home with his parents and they lovingly tended to his every need. His “new” home after the passing of his mother had become Oakdale Nursing Home. He every much enjoyed his time there and loved catching up on the morning gossip at the nurse’s station. Darrek’s easy transition into this new home and way of life was most definitely a God thing his family believes. He is once again reunited with his mother and father in their eternal heavenly home. Survivors include his sister, Donnette Donnell (Gary) of Judsonia; niece, Brandy King (Marty) of Searcy; nephew, Matthew Donnell (Andrea) of Safell; 3 great-nephews, Jackson, Noah and Evan Donnell; 3 great-nieces, Kennedy Bell, Bailey Ann Donnell and London King; as well as a host of cousins, extended family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11:00 to 12:00 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with services beginning immediately following at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Augusta Memorial Gardens.
