Funeral service for Clara Burris Wisdom, 82 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. She was born on January 7, 1937 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Myrtie Lee (Vancil) Burris and Charles Alvin Burris and passed away on September 26, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was married to James Wisdom on April 23, 1964 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mrs. Wisdom was a homemaker. Survivors are: husband: James of the home; 4 daughters: Sharon Caldwell of Vian, OK, Carolyn Werner of Tulsa, OK, Teresa Childress of Sallisaw, OK and Cynthia Hamilton of Sallisaw, OK; 5 sons: Charles Childress of Muldrow, OK, William Sutton of Tulsa, OK, Geroma Green of Tulsa, OK, James Wisdom Jr. of Clarksville, AR and John Wisdom Sr. of Arkansas; 139 grandchildren and great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents: Charley and Myrtle Burris, 1 daughter: Rhonda Pearce, 1 son: Leslie Sutton, 3 sisters: Mary Logan, Anna May Howell, Dorothy Henson, and 2 brothers: William Burris and Alvin Burris. Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Saturday, 2 – 8 PM Sunday, and 10 AM – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
