Christine Marie Barker, age 65, of Lapeer, died Saturday, September 28, 2019. She was born November 27, 1953 in Detroit, to Nick and Elizabeth (Maximiuk) Botos. Chris graduated in 1971 from Fitzgerald High School, in Warren, Michigan. For several years, she was the Office Manager for Pioneer Sugar in Croswell, Michigan. Chris enjoyed bingo and the occasionally trip to the casino. Above all she was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and sister. Chris is survived by her children: Bob Barker of Shelby Township, Beth Romine of Lapeer and Dallas Barker of Brown City; grandchildren: Katie, Emily, Reece, Nathan, Ethan, Evan and one granddaughter due any day; 1 great-grandson on the way; and sister: Cathy (Jeff) Vecore of Leonard, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her son: Steve Barker; and parents: Nick and Elizabeth Botos. A celebration of Chris’ life will take place at a later date.
