Chalmers Christopher Bankhead January 10, 1965 – September 16, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Dr. Chalmers “Chris” Bankhead, III of Kannapolis, NC passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 16, 2019. One of his many talents included being a gifted professional musician who made any saxophone “sing.” Chris served in the Navy and was a proud veteran. He graduated from A.L. Brown High School and loved being a member of the A.L. Brown Jazz Band, Big Green Machine and played football for the mighty Wonders Championship Team. His educational accomplishments include a Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate Degree from Belford University. He also received Doctorate Degrees in Naturopathy and Arts in Law from Ashword and Rochville Universities. Chris is survived by his parents: Dr. Chalmers and Patricia Miller Bankhead; a sister, Estella P. Bankhead; one nephew, Chalmers C. Bankhead IV; faithful companion, Chayru Bankhead; aunts, Sheila Diane Chavis-Shepherd, Marie Bankhead; uncle, Milton M. Miller (Luvenia) of Kannapolis, NC and a host of loving cousins, relatives and friends. Services will be held at Living Water Church in Kannapolis, NC on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M.-1:00 P.M. Lamb Funeral Home Inc. will be serving the family.
