Cathleen M. Dolnik, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday at the Joan Nicole Prince Home in Scotia, NY Born in Brooklyn, NY, Cathleen was the daughter of the late Mary Doyle Elliott and was a 1972 graduate of All Saints High School in Brooklyn and later she received Bachelors degree in Nursing. A register nurse, Cathleen retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Albany as a Medical Claims Examiner. Devoted to her family, Cathleen was passionate about her dogs, reading ,gardening.loved to take walks and go hiking. Cathleen is survived by the love of her life of over 39 years, Charles J. Dolnik of Rotterdam, her children, Charles Dolink (Samantha) of Guilderland and Colleen Dolnik of Rotterdam, her grandson, Charles Dolnik III of Guilderland,her sisters,Jeanie D’Amico (Samuel) of Long Beach, NY and her twin Maureen Dooley of Woodmere, NY and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Cathleen’s life will be held on Saturday evening September 14th at 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady with the Rev. Richard Carlino officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 to 7 pm prior to the services.
