Betty Ruth Morgan, 84, of Ebenezer Rd., West Union, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Oconee County, SC, Ms. Morgan was the daughter of the late Marvin Edgar and Letha Barton Morgan. She worked for many years with JP Stevens and Torrington. Ms. Morgan was a faithful member of Fairview Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Ms. Morgan is survived by her brother: Lewis Morgan (Beulah) of West Union; seven nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Morgan was preceded in death by her sisters: Estelle Phillips, Mildred Williams, and Irene Morgan Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted. The family is at their respective homes.
