Betty Jane Burnett, 88 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 4:40 p.m. at Life’s Journey Senior Living Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on June 23, 1931 in Fancy Prairie, IL the daughter of Frederick Rexford and Mollie (Downs) Burnett. Betty retired as a Dictaphone operator for Franklin Life after 35 years. She was a member of the Taylorville Christian Church and The Christian County Senior Citizens. She is survived by her Brother: Charles (Marjorie) Burnett of Vero Beach, FL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor James Jones officiating. Burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg, IL. Memorials may be made to the Christian County Senior Citizens 701 W. Adams St. Taylorville, IL 62568. Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
