Bassia Brainina, 90, of Iowa City, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in St. Petersburg Cemetery, Russia. Bassia was born on June 1, 1929 in Brindino, Toropetz District, Pskov Region, Russia, the daughter of Izrail Brainin and Rosa Borodulina.
