Barbara E. Clarke-Parent, 74, of Rumford, passed on September 7, 2019. She was the wife of the late Roland F. Parent. Barbara was born in Pawtucket, daughter to the late William and Elizabeth (Rupkey) Clarke. She was a counselor at Butler Hospital, and a longtime friend of Bill W. Barbara leaves step-children, Douglas A. Parent and his wife Katherine of Pawtucket, Nancy A. Vecoli-Boichat and her husband Gene of Cranston, Vanessa E. Parent of Lincoln. She also leaves her grandchildren, Kristen Tootell-Hong and her husband Christopher of Cumberland, Kadie Hodnett and her husband Kyle of Dighton, MA and Christine Chu and her husband Howard of South Kingstown. Barbara is also survived by six great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Clarke-Parent on Thursday , September 12th at 11:00 am in the Mt. St. Mary’s Chapel, Prospect Street, Pawtucket. Her burial will follow. The calling hours on Barbara’s behalf will be on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.
