Arthur “Ed” Stauber, 86, of Billings, Montana, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2019. Services will be held on Monday, September 30, at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, Billings, Montana. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Laurel, Montana following the service. Celebration of Life will follow at the Shrine Al Bedoo Temple from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Ed was born on June 9, 1933, in Huntington Park, California, to Cyrus and Beulah Stauber. After graduating from Pocatello (Idaho) High School in 1951, he attended Idaho State College in Pocatello and later enlisted in the United States Army in 1954. Ed was united in marriage to Edna K. Thomas on December 29, 1954, at Methodist Church in Salmon, Idaho. In 1959, he returned to college at the University of Idaho to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry. Upon graduation, Ed worked for the US Forest Service in Cascade, Idaho. He later joined the sales team in agriculture working for Ralston Purina and then Farr Better Feeds and was known as one of the “Farr Boys”. A devoted husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he is survived by Edna, his wife of 65 years of Billings, Montana; children: Susan (Jeff) Overturf, Columbus, Nebraska; Charles (Holly) Stauber, Blue Bell, Pennsylvania; Stacey (Jose) Campo, Poway, California; and Marietta Purchal, Dallas, Texas; thirteen Grandchildren and ten Great Grandchildren; brothers: Richard (Ruby) Stauber, Boise, Idaho; Gerald (Pam) Stauber, Philomath, Oregon.
