Anthony Blake McElrath, 66, of Kingston Drive, Kannapolis, NC passed away Sunday, September 15, at Atrium Health – Main. He was born April 10, 1953 in Morganton, NC, to the late Fred McElrath, Sr. and the late Addie Connelly McElrath. Anthony was educated in the Morganton Schools and was a graduate of Morganton High School; he attended Evans College and also graduated from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. He retired from the Postal Service and was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee, Usher Board, Production Team League and a professional photographer. Services will be held Saturday, September 21, at First Missionary Baptist Church 59 Chestnut Drive, SW, Concord, NC. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred McElrath, Jr. Those left to cherish fond memories include: his wife, Cynthia D. McElrath of the home; two daughters, Antiffia McElrath of Grier, SC, Vontriece McElrath-Flowe of Concord, NC; son, Emmanuel Avery of Morganton, NC; two grandchildren, Anthony Flowe and Kendall Flowe both of Concord; three sisters, Angela McElrath of Burlington, NC, Sharon McElrath, Karon McElrath both of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Jeffery McElrath (Diane) of Morganton, NC, Trench McElrath of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Stephanie McElrath of Morganton, NC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. favorite_border Donations Pledges
