Angless M. Schwindel age 91, a lifetime resident of Posey County, IN, passed away Saturday morning September 7, 2019 at West River Health Campus in Evansville. She was born June 29, 1928 in Wadesville, the daughter of Andrew and Selma K. (Papenmeier) Brandt. She was married to Richard H. Schwindel on August 8, 1964, and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1999. Angless retired in 1966 from Shane Uniform Company as a seamstress. She was a longtime member of Zion-Lippe United Church of Christ. Her hobbies included jigsaw puzzles and quilting. She is survived by her nieces Nancy deClaissé-Walford of Georgia and Barbara Davidson of California as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Melvin Brandt, niece Carol Kerstetter and nephew Charles Brandt. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at the Zion-Lippe United Church of Christ on Ford Road, Mt. Vernon, IN, with Rev. Jeff Long officiating. Burial will be in Zion-Lippe Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday September 10, 2019 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN, and also at 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion-Lippe United Church of Christ.
