Amos A. Sommer, age 83 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away Tuesday September 10, 2019 at the Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Illinois. Funeral services will be Friday September 13, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Miller-Loftus- McManus Funeral Home with Rev. David Siere officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. He was born September 8, 1936 to Sherman and Rosa (Thompson), who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Irma, one daughter, Lottie Renee ton and one son Michael Sommer; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; two step children, Terry Hiett and Betty Hiett; one brother, William Sommer and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Frankie Sommer, Sisters, Waiva and Loreine Burnett and Pauline Warren. Brothers, Russell, Ralph, and Odress Sommer.
