Alexander “BUD” Easler, III of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington. He was 85 years old. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Alexander Easler, Jr. and the late Dorothy I.M. Easler. Bud was educated at John Bartram High School and Brown Prep. He attended Penn State and graduated from Goldey Beacom College. Bud was employed as an insurance broker for many years working in loss control and sales. He was a member of the Kennett Square Lions Club, Chesapeake Commodores Club, Kennett Square American Legion Post # 491 and the Episcopal Church of the Advent. Bud volunteered at Longwood Gardens and the Delaware Photography Society. He was a proud and patriotic American, who honorably served in the United States Navy on board the USS Marias and the USS Aldebaran. He was was the beloved husband of Doranne Fassett Easler for 50 years; father of Alison Riegel (Kenneth), Scott Broomall (Linda), Susan Kovalevich (Wally) and Thomas Easler; grandfather of Nicole, Kristin, David, Kaitlyn, Scott and Jamie; brother of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Conklin. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00PM until 3:00PM with a memorial service at 3:00PM on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the EPISCOPAL CHURCH of the ADVENT, 401 North Union Street, Kennett Square. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow the memorial service at the Kennett Square Country Club, 100 E. Locust Lane, Kennett Square. Memorial donations in Bud’s name can be made to the church.
