Willis Franklin Henry, age 87, of West Liberty, Ohio passed away at 2:10 P.M. Monday, August 12, 2019, at the Lima Memorial Health System surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Logan County Ohio July 10, 1932, a son of the late John W. and Nora Ethel (Holt) Henry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles W. Henry and Howard Henry. On November 1, 1950 in Maysville, Kentucky, he married Edna Arlene Burrey and she preceded him in death June 3, 2018. He is survived by one son, Michael (Joanie) Henry of Sidney, Ohio; four daughters, Nancy Flora of West Liberty, Shirley Franks of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Carol (Dave) Thornburg and Becky (Roger) Kendall both of West Liberty; seventeen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Willis was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church as well as the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533 and Indian Lake F.O.E. #3615. He enjoyed camping, traveling, and riding his motorcycle which he did until age 86. He liked to visit and talk with his friends at Green Hills. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Green Hills for the loving care they gave to their father. Pastor Roger Childers will officiate a memorial service at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the Foundation Hall at Green Hills Community in West Liberty. Following the service, there will be a meal at the West Liberty First Church of God. Private burial will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio at a later date. The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
