Tommy Glenn Harvey, age 83 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Services to honor Tommy’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Deweyville United Pentecostal Church with Bishop Darrell Orange, Reverend Michael Orange and Brother Quintin Creme officiating. Interment will immediately follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service for a visitation at the church. Tommy was born in San Augustine, Texas on June 6, 1936 to Maggie Bryant Harvey and Luther Harvey. He proudly served in the United States Army and was retired after 23 years with Orange County. Tommy was easy going, always joking and willing to lend a helping hand when needed. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Maggie Harvey and sister Ima Adair. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Shirley Harvey, son Ronnie Harvey, daughters, Terrie Gruber and her husband Wesley and Stacey Harvey, sisters, Frankie Wathall and Johnnie Harvey and grandsons, Hunter Harvey and Dylan Gruber. Pallbearers will be Ricky Green, Mike Green, Randy Green, Wesley Gruber, Larry Ratliff and Quintin Creme. Honorary pallbearers; Hunter Harvey, Dylan Gruber and Thomas Lewis.
