Thomas’ Obituary Dr. Thomas Joseph Currier, 80, of Aubrey, TX, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019. He was born September 6, 1938 in San Francisco, CA to Thomas Joseph and Kathleen (Weaver) Currier. Thomas married Viktoriya Polyachenko on February 8, 2008 in Valley View, TX. He had a Masters in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Medical Degree from the University of Texas, San Antonio. Thomas was a retired United States Air Force colonel who had served for 26 years. He served as a doctor in the military and was an OB/GYN in Cooke County for 40 years. Thomas is survived by his wife, Viktoriya of Aubrey, TX; four sons, Thomas Joseph Currier of St. Louis, MO, Kevin Ivan Currier of Williamsburg, VA, James Gene Currier of Los Angeles, CA, and Kyrylo Olenych of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Michelle Currier Atkinson of Tallahassee, FL; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Kathleen; and brother, Richard Donald Currier. A rosary will be held 7:00PM with visitation following until 8:30 PM, Friday, August 23, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Pilot Point, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, TX with Fr. John Martin officiating.
