Suzanne’s Obituary Boonville – Suzanne A. Haskins, 81, passed away August 19, 2019. She was born in Rome, NY on September 10, 1937, the daughter of Richard and Marguerite Moster O’Brien. She graduated from Saint Aloysius Academy, Rome, NY. On November 17, 1956 she married Charles T. Haskins at St. Peter’s Church, Rome. It was a blessed and loving union for 57 years until Chuck’s passing in March 2014. She stayed home to raise their family and traveled with her husband as a supportive Air Force wife. After her children were grown, she enjoyed a career in the hospitality business with her husband and at several area restaurants. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Suzy knew her favorite pastime was shopping and spending money. She so loved torturing her daughter Deniese on these excursions. She loved her family dearly and excelled at decorating and hosting extraordinary holiday gatherings. She loved her Yankees, Bloody Mary’s, gardening, bird and deer watching. She will always be remembered for her giving nature and sense of humor. Surviving is her daughter, Deniese Haskins and her companion Guy Case, Boonville; two sons, Daniel Pohoreskey (Renee) Boonville, Rodney Haskins (Wanda) Charlotte, S.C.; daughters, Kathryn Blank (Kenneth), Whitesboro and Kim Ferguson (James), Frankfort; grandchildren, Aleisha Haskins, Jeffery Barone, Dez Tucker, Nicholas Pohoreskey, Leeza Jones, Megan Buckley, Daniel Buckley, Kayla Russo, Matt Russo, Michael Blank, Sonya Rolland, MaeLinda Evans, Michelle Luley, Steven Luley, Joshua Haskins, Sachino Abe, James Ferguson Jr, Mason Otero and Kyle Ferguson. She additionally had many great grandchildren including her newest great grandchild Jace Ethan Daniel Pohoreskey, whose arrival she was excitedly anticipating. Deniese would like to express her heartfelt appreciation to Courtney Seeloff, Melinda Irvin and Barb Kohl aka “The Dream Team” as well as Ethan Newman, Amber Farr, Kenner Lohn for becoming her second family and loving and caring for her. And for all those who truly cared while she was at the nursing home. At Suzanne’s request there will be no calling hours, with a private mass planned for a later date.
