Shirley Anne Parks March 29, 1939 – August 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Shirley Anne Parks 80, of Fairmont passed away August 18, 2019, at St Barbara’s Nursing home surrounded by her family. She was born in Parkersburg, WV, on March 29 1939, to the late C.W. and Alma Stickley. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ira Parks, Jr., whom she married on August 9, 1958. Shirley was the owner of Valley Falls Green House where she retired. She was by far the best butterscotch pie baker in the world. She will be sorely missed by her family. In addition to her husband she is survived by three children; Alan Parks and his wife Wendy of Fairmont, WV, Bonnie Parks and companion Ken Huff of Chapel Hill, NC, and Pam Linn and her husband Rusty of Fairmont, WV. Six grandchildren; Dayna Followay and her companion Jeremy Robbins, Devon Williams, Josh Linn and wife Carrie, Zach Linn, Graham Parks and Amelia Parks. Seven great grandchildren; Levi and Dylan Followay, Sophie And Garon Robbins, Addie Phillips, Reed Hurst, and Ari Linn. She is also survived by one sister; Lois Welsh of Bakerton, WV, three brothers; including a special brother, Casey Stickley of Fairmont, WV. Brother-in-law; Jack Parks and his wife Carolyn of Fairmont, WV, and sister-in-law; Wilma Pazdric of Mentor, Ohio, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson; Justin Lee Parks; her mother and father in law; Ira and Addie Parks, a brother; Harold Shobe, and sister-in-law; Betty Nuzum. Shirley has chosen cremation as her final disposition and there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
