Born October 22, 1948, in Honolulu, she was a retired Waiakea Elementary School teacher, recreational golfer, gifted in arts and crafts, member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Hawaii State Teachers Association-Retired, National Education Association-Retired and former member of Ahualani Community Association and Hilo Adult Tennis League. Survived by husband, Russell Kamimura of Mililani, Oahu; daughter, Lori Kamimura of Hilo; son, Wade (Jan) Kamimura of Aiea, Oahu; brother, Gay (Maria) Miyakawa of Mililani, Oahu; sister, Carol Ann Miyakawa of Honolulu; brothers-in-law, Garrett (Pat) Kamimura of Burlington, Washington, David (Joyce) Kamimura of Aiea, Oahu, Wesley (Jan) Kamimura of Mountain View; two grandchildren, a nephew and nieces.
