Bennettsville, South Carolina Samuel Joel Richardson, 63, of Bennettsville, SC and Chapin, SC, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019. Joel was born in Bennettsville on January 13, 1956. He was a son of the late Wade Hampton Richardson, Jr. and Miriam Pearson Richardson. Joel had a wonderful sense of humor, he was a die-hard Clemson fan, Nascar enthusiast, and loved all genres of music. He would rather spend time outdoors hunting and fishing more than anything. He was a devoted Marlboro County Native. He is survived by his sister, Carole Anne Richardson; brother, Wade Hampton Richardson, III. (Pam) of San Antonio, TX; two nieces; three great nephews; a great niece; a good friend, Joann Haltiwanger of Chapin, SC; but most important of all his beloved canine companion of ten years, Gwheyce Mae. A gathering of friends will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Lake Paul Wallace (Jack’s Island), from 2-4 p.m. Online condolences may be made @ www.bfhbennettsville.
