Friends and relatives will gather on Tuesday, August 13th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in Bayport. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 14th at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville and interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Roy Bartow, 76, of Bayport, LI, died on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Raised in Deer Park, Roy lived in Bayport since 1976. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a longtime member of the VFW in Sayville and the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Bartow worked for many years as an operating engineer and was a fifty-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 138. Mr. Bartow is survived by his wife, Virginia, his children, Cheryl (Steve Massina) of Sayville, Kimberly Alker (Dan) of Sayville and Thomas of Bayport, his granddaughter, Megan, as well as a brother, Robert (Carol) of Jamesport. He was predeceased by his son, Roy, Jr, in 1998.
