Rollan’s Obituary Rollan Crews, 87 of Screven died Monday, August 5, 2019 under the care of Georgia Hospice Care. The Patterson native had lived in Wayne County the past 20 years and was a retired U.S. Air Force Tech Sergeant serving two tours in the Vietnam War. After his service to his country, he worked as a construction supervisor for many years. He devoted all of his spare time to his family. They meant the world to him. He was predeceased by his parents, J.L. and Myrtle Crews and a daughter, Melissa Ann Crews. Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Betty Crews of Screven; two daughters, Cheryl Wainwright of Screven and Donna Blocker of Patterson; two sons, Matthew (Brande) Crews of Screven and Nick Crews of Brunswick; grandchildren, Chrissi Goldsmith, Patrick Wainwright, Kee Blocker, Matt Crews, Jr., Kristian Crews, Tristyn Johnson, Braelyn, Josh, Taylor and Brooke Crews; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley (Nancy) Crews and Bobby (Patty) Crews; a sister, Marylou Higginbotham; several nieces and nephews. Private memorial services will be held by the family. Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements. Read More
