Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” John 11:25 Robert passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, August 23, 2019. He was born on January 14, 1931, son of the late Violet and Albert Buck. He is survived by his wife Wilma B. Buck of Hershey; sons Greg Buck of Tennessee and Charles Buck of Maryland. Also surviving are his step-daughters Kathy Schnee and Sharon Beckett, both of Hershey; his brothers Earl (Alton) Buck and James C. Buck; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his sisters Irene Buck and Carol Preble. He was a graduate of the Hershey Industrial School (MHS) class of 1949 and Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He retired from the Hershey Chocolate Company, and was a member of the Hershey Evangelical Free Church in Hershey, PA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Hershey Church of the Nazarene, 986 East Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to the SPCA in Harrisburg at www.humanesocietyhbg.org.
