Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home with Dennis Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Family members. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until hour of service on Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. Mrs. Tanner was born on March 5, 1920 in Obion County, TN daughter of the late Odie and Lillie (Ring) Cloar. She married Cucil Tanner on September 21, 1943, he passed away on October 1, 1977. She was a homemaker and a member of Rives Church of Christ Rives, TN 38253. The family requests memorials be sent to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or stjude.org. Mrs. Tanner is also survived three nephews, Elwin Tanner of Union City, Dale Tanner of Troy, and Kenneth Dodd of Fulton; three nieces, Kathy Anderson of South Fulton, Patricia Rawdon of Cookeville and Regina Mullins of Union City; great-nephew, Kent (Rhonda) Martin, and great-nieces; Karen Hamilton, Carla Cannon, and Terry Martin; and several other great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Allen Cloar, and a niece, Dorothy Jean Martin.
