Ray Lynn Jenkins, age 80, passed away of natural causes on Monday August 19, 2019 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sedette and Odell Jenkins of Dandridge, TN and Grandparents Ollie and Eva Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jenkins. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Roach Jenkins and his son Jeffrey L. Jenkins, daughter in-law Aimee Jenkins, and his grand-daughters Tori, and Fallon Jenkins all of Gallatin, TN and Morgan Jenkins of Morristown, TN. Also survived by many Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. Ray was a veteran and belonged to the Air National Guard Reserve. He also was the longest living member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Dandridge, TN. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 23 from 5-7 pm with services following at Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will be Saturday, August 24 at 11 am at Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dandridge, TN. Pallbearers will be Joe McNeil, Mark Engle, Steve Douglas, James Franklin, Johnny Franklin, Scott Simms, Jerry Carter and Buddy McMahan. The service will be held by Rev. Dr. Jason McIntosh, Pastor of Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Prayer given by Rev Sherri Franklin.
