Payton Ray Flournoy, 19 years old of Cheyenne, WY, completed her journey on this earth August 25th, 2019 at the UC Health Center of the Rockies. She passed from injuries and complications she sustained from a tragic car accident. She was surrounded by family and the compassionate staff of UC Health. Payton was a kind, compassionate and free-spirited being that embraced life and never passed an opportunity to have fun. Payton loved animals and spending time with the people she loved. She enjoyed music, concerts, bike-riding, new adventures and being outdoors. The love and loyalty she possessed for her family and friends was immeasurable and palpable. Her beauty, contagious smile and laughter brought joy into every room she entered. She was a graduate of Central High School in 2018. She was attending Tuana Beauty Academy in Fort Collins to begin her goal of working as a medical esthetician. She is survived by her parents Tiffany & Dirk Flournoy, her sisters Bailey & Isabella Flournoy, her grandparents Steve & Pat Caldwell of Cheyenne, Mae & James Roddy of Cheyenne, Robert and Pat Flournoy of Paskenta, CA, her biological father and grandmother; Damian Spahn and Donna Spahn, great-grandfathers Harold Caldwell of New Mexico and Bill Ziegler of Denver, CO as well as many loving uncles, aunts and cousins that she loved dearly. Her spirit is survived by all of those she touched as well as the 4 lives of her organ donor recipients. She will continue to save and help lives through her tissue donation and organ research. A non-traditional Celebration of Life will be held at the Riata Ranch in Cheyenne, WY on Sunday, September 1st at 4:00 pm. Loved ones are invited to bring a large covered dish to share as well as the happy memories of Payton. Dress is casual and cowboy boots are encouraged.
