Paul J. Paget, 96, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Davenport Lutheran Home. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice. Paul was born November 13, 1922 in Newton, Iowa, the son of Paul & Hazel (Snook) Paget. He was united in marriage to Creta V. Dowell on February 28, 2004 in California. Paul was a metal fabricator and co-owned Paget Heating and Air Conditioning Service in Bettendorf for several years. Paul loved to fish anywhere there was water, from Alaska to Mexico. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Creta; his daughters, Carol Johnson of Northfield, Minnesota, Judith Paget of Redding, California and Debbie (Steve) Nash of Tipton, Iowa; his step-son, Timothy Hill of Davenport; his sister, Sandra (Jerry) Hice of Davenport; his brother, Wesley (Evelyn) Paget of Live Oak, Florida; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his step-son, Irvin Livingston; his sisters, Helen Paget and Dorothy Bayse; and his brothers, Clarence, Robert, Harold, Donald and Jack.
