Orville Edward Huckabee, 80, of McCrory, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 19, 2019. He was born September 24, 1938 in Beedeville a son of the late Orville Edward and Dovie Viola (Nelson) Huckabee. O. E., as he was affectionately known, enjoyed farming and the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He loved to sing, especially to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Huckabee was a member of the Ephesus Church of God in McCrory and he wanted people to know his God, the true Living God. He is survived by his sons, Edward Wayne Huckabee and David Allen Huckabee; daughters, Glenda Jean Nichols and Judy Ann Hill; brothers, Fred Huckabee and Tom Green; sisters, Peggy Green and Bonnie (Bunny) Payne; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Huckabee; brother, James Huckabee. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ephesus Church of God in McCrory with Bro. Don Jones officiating.
