Nannie’s Obituary Nannie Florence Tackitt, was born June 26, 1936 in Dilley, Texas to Eupha Haddox and W.J. Collins Sr. Nan passed peacefully away Sunday, August 11, 2019. Nan was baptised at age 9, and was the first girl born to the Collins in 47 years. She was raised in Dilley along with her brothers, Wiley Collins, N.J. Collins Jr., Eugene Collins, and Ernest Collins. Nan started playing the piano for church services at age eleven and continued to play for sixty more years. Nan married Joe Lydell Tackitt Sr. on January 19, 1957 in Dilley, Texas and were married for fifty two years until his death on October 10, 2009. Nan and Joe raised three wonderful children in Floresville, Texas, Teresa (Terri) Jones, Joe L. Tackitt Jr., and Wiley Forrest Tackitt. Nan got to enjoy 10 grandchildren, Larry Glen Jones III, Brian Scott Jones, Teresa Nicole Demmer, Austin Charles Tackitt, Hope Nicole Tackitt, Cooper Lydell Tackitt, Ethan Thomas Tackitt, Owen Michael Tackitt, Brady Lucas Tackitt, Carter James Tackitt, the late Garrett Joseph Tackitt, and step-grandchildren, Gavin Wayne Pfeil and Marissa Shavone Pfeil. Nan had 2 great grandchildren, Sealy Jane Jones, Teresa Julianne Demmer, and two on the way (Colten Wayne Pfeil and Larry Glen Jones IV). Nan was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, her husband, son-in-law, and a grandson. Read More
