Mikel Kollar, 31, of Newnan, formerly of Dawsonville, passed away Friday August 9, 2019. Born January 13, 1988, he had lived in Coweta County for the past 4 years. Mikel owned and operated Let’s Get Movin’ moving company. He was an accomplished guitarist who enjoyed music, art, loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, cooking and travel. He was a member of McKee’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alice Samples and grandfather, Louis Kollar. Surviving are his wife, Kayla Kollar, Newnan; children, Mason Kollar, Dawsonville, Zoey Kollar, Newnan; parents, Larry and Margaret Kollar, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Julia and Josh Morang, Dawsonville; grandmother, Sylvia Scoble, Largo, FL; grandfather, Ralph Samples, Dawsonville; father in law and mother in law, Rickey and Pam Payton, Newnan; brothers in law, Corey Payton, Douglasville, Micah Payton, Atlanta; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 14, 2019 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sven Mossinger will officiate. Interment will follow in the McKee’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
