Michael Todd Boileau, age 56, of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday August 8, 2019, at his residence following a sudden illness. Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Calling hours will begin at noon Sunday, August 11th, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Delta Water Fowl. Online condolences may be sent for Mike’s family through the web at www.jonesfh.com Mike was born July 5, 1963, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Robert “Red” and Rose (Taylor) Boileau. He attended school in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 1981. Mike was Plant Manager of Whitesell Corporation in Washington, Iowa. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed duck hunting, turkey hunting, fishing, mushrooming, spending time at the marsh and spending time at the family cabin on the Iowa River. He was an avid reader and “inventor of sorts”. He is survived by his sister, Bobbi Trier of Washington, Iowa; sister, Jackie Gunn and husband Butch of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Jill Boileau; brother, Pat Boileau; sister, Amy Stoutner and sister Billie Bruns and husband David, all of Washington, Iowa; 10 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; aunt, Fairy Gesling of Washington, Iowa; aunt Marcella “Tillie” Yuska of Colorado Springs, Colorado; uncle, Carl Hays and wife Billie of Burlington, Iowa; and his canine companion, Tucker.
