Michael Earl Twichell March 21, 1951 – August 01, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Michael Earl Twichell “Coach Twichell”, 68, of Reelsboro passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Crystal Coast Hospice House. Mike attended Guilford College from 1969-1973 where he was captain of his football team and obtained his bachelor’s degree. Mike was a teacher and coach with Pamlico County Schools from 1973-2012. During that time Mike coached football, baseball, track, softball and was athletic director. When he was not coaching, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, Michael J. Twichell and wife, Karen; daughter, Sarah T. Davis & husband, Christopher; brother, Mark Twichell and wife, Kathy; sisters, Maureen Viau & husband, Chris, and Maryann Chevalier & husband, John; grandchildren; Parker and Jackson Twichell; special friend, Rosa McKnight; and three nieces. His funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 5th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 4th at Bryant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Pamlico Co. Booster Club, 601 Main St. Bayboro, NC 28515 or West Craven Endzone Club 2600 Street’s Ferry Rd. Vanceboro, NC 28586.
