Mary Josephine Martin passed away in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, August 17, 2019, after a long battle with cancer. Mary Jo was the wife of Thomas Martin for over 44 years and they shared a wonderful life together that included their two children, Tommy Jr. and Nick. Mary Jo was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of Itolo and Maria Luberto. Along with her sisters, Lois Furrevig and Barbara Amorino, she grew up in a loving home. Mary Jo returned to the workforce full-time in 1991 and spent the last 26+ years of her career at Rutgers University. To everyone that knew her, she was a very generous, thoughtful, and patient person that family and friends could always count on. Upon her retirement from Rutgers, Mary Jo and Thomas moved to Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ. They also spent a lot of time in Los Angeles, CA, a place that Mary Jo became very fond of.
