Mary Ann Poole Bass of Pulaski, TN passed away on Friday August 16, 2019 at approximately 9:35 a.m. at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Born July 22, 1955 in Murfreesboro, TN, she was the daughter of the late Shirley Mason Poole and Francis Faulkenberry Poole. Mrs. Bass graduated from Giles County High School in 1973. She attended Middle Tennessee State University and received her Associates Degree in Business. In 1993, Mrs. Bass accepted the position of Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper at Bridgeforth Middle School in Pulaski, TN where she touched the lives of many, many children through the years. She is survived by her beloved husband, Johnny W. Bass of 37 years. Her children Chad (Lauren) Long of Hendersonville and Rebecca (Eliott) Virula of Madison. Her sister Debra (Don) Poole-Tillman of Pulaski and Dennis Poole of Elkton. Her aunt Brownie Faulkenberry West of Pulaski. Her adored grandchildren Shelby Long, Addison Long, Mason Virula, Hayden Long and Ofelia Virula. Visitation for Mary Ann Bass will be Saturday August 17, 2019 at Bennett May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 p.m. On Sunday August 18, 2019 Visitation will continue at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Paul McKinney officiating. A graveside service will follow in Pisgah Cemetery where she will be buried beside her loving parents. Mary Ann was a spiritual, spirited, vivacious and fun-loving lady with a profound love for her family and friends. She was a remarkable lady and will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to experience the power of her affection. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Cemetery Trust Fund at Mount Pisgah FUMC (can be mailed to c/o Debra Poole-Tillman at 122 North Fifth Street, Pulaski, TN 38478) or Bridgeforth Middle School (can be mailed to 1051 Bridgeforth Circle Pulaski, TN 38478 . All past and present Faculty and Staff at Bridgeforth Middle School are Honoray Pallbearers. Pallbearers are: Chad Long, Hayden Long, Eliott Virula, Mason Virula, Dennis Poole, Don Tillman, Mike Jones, J.B. Smith, Mark Cardin, Michael Taylor and Jacob Gordon.
