On August 24, 2019, Jesus took Marie Walker Bradley, 90, into his loving arms to sing with the angels, and all of heaven rejoiced and welcomed her. Marie was born on March 25, 1929 in Schuyler, VA, daughter of Maurice and Ethel Walker. On June 25, 1949 she married the love of her life, Eldon Schuyler Bradley in Lovingston, VA. Eldon went to heaven to listen to the angels sing in December 2015, and her children know they had a wonderful heavenly reunion. Together they raised four children: daughters: Brenda McMillan (Jim), Pamela Carter (John), Lou Anne Brossman (Doug) and son: Eldon Dwayne Bradley. Marie is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren Jamie Carter, John Carter III, Beth McMillan Satterlee, David McMillan, Jacob Bradley, Travis Bradley and Matthew Bradley; two step grandchildren: Laura Brossman and Adam Brossman; and three great grandchildren Jordan Carter, Maxwell Satterlee and Harvard Satterlee. In 1985, Marie and Eldon retired and moved from their beloved Virginia to Melbourne, Florida to be closer to family – especially the grandchildren whom she adored. She was a devout Christian woman who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her enduring love for children led her to teach Sunday Schools, Vacation Bible Schools and youth groups throughout her lifetime in Baptist Churches in both Virginia and Florida. Marie, who enjoyed singing as a soprano in church choirs and more recently with the Singing Seniors in Titusville, FL , was always surrounded by music and played the piano by ear. When Marie wasn’t working outside in her flower gardens, she was hard at work on Christmas stockings and Christmas tree ornaments gifts for her family and her friends to whom she was a treasured blessing. She was a shining Christian example to everyone she met, and her unselfish spirit will be an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She will be sorely missed by her family and her friends. It is comforting to know that our loss is heaven’s gain and we will all be reunited with her in heaven one day.
