Marie I Goj August 15, 1921 – July 30, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation MARIE IMELDA GOJ 1921 – 2019 CHICOPEE – Marie Imelda (Gagnon) Goj, 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Heritage Hall West in Agawam. A daughter of the late George and Delia (O’Brien) Gagnon, Marie was born on August 15, 1921 and was a lifelong resident. She attended Holy Name Grammar School and graduated from Holy Name High School. She was employed in the payroll department of General Instrument Corp. (F.W.Sickles Division). For many years she served as a Troop Leader in the Brownies and Girl Scouts. A devout Catholic, Marie was a communicant of Holy Name Church, a member of the Rosary Sodality, the Sacred Heart League and the Marion and Franciscan Helpers. She was predeceased by her husband, Max A. Goj in 1993. She leaves her three children, Ann Marie Bradway (Bill), Joann Deaton (Jay) and Brian Goj; grandsons, Christopher and Eric Deaton; Great grandsons, Trenton, Troy and Kameron. She also leaves behind her sister, Hazel O’Brien; a special nephew and niece, Richard Theroux (Carol) and Deborah Gombar; grandnieces and grand nephews, Gina, Kate, Michael and Brett. Marie was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt who will be missed by all. A family service will be held on Friday in Holy Name Parish Church with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Chicopee. There are no calling hours and the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee is in charge of the arrangements. Print Obituary
