Margarette’s Obituary Margarette Butler, 76, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Butler was born March 29, 1943 in Charlotte, North Carolina, daughter of the late Clinton Franklin Darnell and Garner Mae Kinney Darnell. She worked as a childcare provider, was a licensed practical nurse, a certified Red Cross instructor, a master crocheter, and made Indian artifacts. She married Allen Berry Butler in 1976 in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Mr. Butler preceded her in death in December 2011. Surviving are her son, Erik A. Butler and his wife, Patti J., of Charles County, MD; brother, George D. Darnell and his wife, Michelle J., of Frederick County, VA; daughter-in-law, Linda McNutt; grandsons, Clinton McNutt, Jr. and Andrew McNutt; and granddaughters, Savannah Butler and Ciarra Butler. In addition to her husband, her son, Clinton McNutt and sister, Nancy Ruth Darnell, both preceded her in death. Services will be private. Read More
