Margaret’s Obituary Margaret M. “Mugs” Fortin, 90, of Sioux Falls, SD died Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Dow Rummel Village in Sioux Falls, SD. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday, September 5 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Sioux Falls, with burial at St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation begins at 5:00 PM Wednesday, September 4 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls, where the family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and a Liturgical Wake Service starts at 7:00 PM. Margaret Myrtle Anderson, daughter of George and Josephine (Schultez) Anderson, was born April 30, 1929 in Milbank, SD. She grew up there and graduated from Milbank High School. Margaret was united in marriage with Donald P. Fortin on May 1, 1948 in Milbank. Grateful for having shared her life are two children, Keith Fortin and his wife, Mary, Sioux Falls, SD, Becky Wilkes and her husband, Kevin, Bradenton, FL; two granddaughters, Jennifer Wilkes, Bradenton, FL, Kristin Wilkes, Tampa, FL; two siblings, Eunice Flanagan, Luverne, MN, Eugene Anderson, Kiel, WI; and many other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Don, on September 15, 2003; a step-grandson, Matthew Begtrup; her parents, George and Josephine Anderson; and two siblings, Dorothy VanAsch and Bob Anderson.
