M. Mae Benna, 86, of Everett, PA; went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2019 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born in Manns Choice, PA on January 16, 1933; a daughter of the late Albert and Effie (Fisher – Turner) Benna. She was preceded in death by a brother Paul Turner and his wife Maxine; brother-in-law Duane Foor and an infant sister Betty Turner. She is survived by sisters Pauline Foor, Everett and Doris Stark, California and the following nieces and nephews Steve Turner, State College, Kimberly Samuel, Everett, Richard Stark, California and great nieces and nephews Adam Samuel married to Vanessa, Katie (Samuel) married to Daniel Boonie, Wendy Stark, Analyse Stark and Willow Stark. Mae graduated from Schellsburg Napier High School Class of 1952. She moved to Everett to work at the Lion Manufacturing Company from 1952 to 1983 when the plant closed. She then moved to Verona, VA and worked at Genesco until its closing in 1994. She later retired in 1995. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and loved going to the beach with family. She was a charter member of Clear Ridge Fellowship Church in Everett. Burial will be held privately at Schellsburg Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at Clear Ridge Fellowship Church at a later date. Arrangements by Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.
