Luther’s Obituary Luther Haskell Hickman, Jr., 92, passed away on August 11, 2019. Mr. Hickman was a veteran, having served in the United States Army Air Forces in World War II. He was employed in management with Rockwell International, having retired after over 30 years. Luther was also the owner of Hickman-Scholtz Furniture Co. and top salesman at Superior Olds-Cadillac. Past Worshipful Master, Mr. Hickman was a 60 year member of the Fidelity Masonic Lodge #558 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Minnie, and parents, Luther and Violet Hickman. Mr. Hickman is survived by his sons, James (Barbara) Hickman and John (Tina) Hickman; grandchildren, Tracie, Shelley, Jamey and Misty and many great-grandchildren. Share your memories and express your condolences on our guestbook. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 10 a.m. – noon at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58. The funeral service will follow at noon in the Turner Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Scott Kimball officiating. Mr. Hickman will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
