Louise Estelle Gallo, age 74, of Candler, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Mountain View Assisted Living in Hendersonville. Mrs. Gallo was born on September 6, 1944, in Schenectady, NY, to the late Fred Estelle and Mary Stewart Estelle. She worked as a medical assistant and was a member of Mt. Moriah Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Gallo was very passionate about the POW’s and MIA’s from the Vietnam War and she enjoyed volunteering with the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmine Gallo. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Gallo Mullins and husband Terry of Candler; a grandson, Anthony Mullins; and many cousins all over the country. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gallo will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor David Pittman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. The family respectfully requests that memorial contributions may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517. Asheville Mortuary Services are assisting the Gallo family with arrangements.
