A longtime resident of Alexandria Township, NJ Lorenzo recently moved to Milford, NJ. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 25 between 1 and 5 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Military Honors will take place at 4;30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorenzo’s name to the Overlook Care Givers Center at www.OverlookFoundation.org. Lorenzo was born in Elizabeth, NJ on November 2, 1934. He graduated from Cranford High School in 1953 and enlisted in the Army where he served in Korea and Japan between 1955 and 1957, followed by active reserves between 1957 and 1963. In February, 1981, he earned his BS in Finance from Rider College. Lorenzo worked in the commercial mortgage business before opening his appraisal practice, Pyramid Associates in 1979 where he served as President of the company. He was a member of the Appraisal Institute, awarded the MAI and SRPA designations, as well as having his real estate Brokers License. He was a Certified Tax Assessor, serving several municipalities during his 20-year tenure. He enjoyed playing Judo, running in his younger years, and golf later on. He had a lifetime passion of flying and earned his recreational pilot’s license at 72. He was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol Delaware Valley Squadron in Whitehouse Station, NJ. He is survived by his wife, Theresa of 61 years; son, Daniel Mistichelli (Tracy), daughter, Laura Whitaker (Scott), daughter, Dina Hanlon-Fritz (Bud); grandchildren, Dallas and Logan Whitaker, Samantha and Luke Hanlon, and Lawrence Fritz; brother, Carmen Mistichelli (Margie); sister-in-law, Barbara Killian; nieces, Lynn, Jeanette, and Amelia; and nephew, Daniel.
