Mrs. Linda Lindsey, 74 of Nashville passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Lindsey was born April 12, 1945 to the late Howard Leslie Brooks and Vivian Marie Smith Brooks. She was an artist and enjoyed painting, she was also a Christian and loved God and her family. Mrs. Lindsey was a kind and gentle person. Survivors include her children, Benjamin W. Lindsey, Jr. of Nashville; and Kimberly Dyer of Nashville and significant other, Dr. John Kendrick; grandchildren, Chelsea (Cody) King, and Kaitlyn (Shane) VanDeVelde; great grandchildren, Emerson King, and Ryan VanDeVelde; former spouse, Benjamin W. Lindsey, Sr. of Nashville; brothers, Howard Brooks of Roswell, GA. and Larry Brooks of Covington, GA; and sisters, Charlotte Russell of McDonald, GA, and Kathy Klingman of Ponte Vedra, Fl. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Potts officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
