Larry Lee Jones, 83, of rural Logansport, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 in his residence. He was born on May 2, 1936 in Miami County, IN to the late Owen O. and Clara Etta (Angle) Jones. On May 21, 1961 in Deer Creek, IN he married Nan L. Beck who survives. Larry was a truck driver for Kain’s Motor Service for 27 years and continued driving truck for another 6 years after Kain’s closure. Larry was also a part time farmer. Surviving, including his wife, is one daughter, Shirley Ann (Bob) Carney, Twelve Mile; two sons, Kenneth Alan Jones and Marvin Gail Jones, both of Logansport; two brothers, James F. (Bonita) Jones, Walton; Daniel E. (Peggy) Jones, Peru; two sisters, Nancy E. Jones, Peru; Marjorie A. (Charlie) Binkerd, Peru; two grandchildren, Ethan Michael Jones and Elli Lynn Jones. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday August 21, 2019 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Daisok Panmei officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Baptist Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday Aug. 20, 2019 from 4-7 pm in the Gundrum Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Miami Baptist Church or the Cass County 4-H Association.
